Chyron

Chyron marks IBC with the European launch of its web-based graphics production workflow. Following its acquisition of AXIS Graphics earlier this year, Chyron launched its Online Division, an array of web-based services to enable high resolution Maps, Real-Time Weather Displays, 3D Charts & Graphs, Financial Quotes and a vast toolset to create topical News Graphics; significantly expanding its core markets beyond the traditional broadcast arena.

LAUNCHING AT IBC2008:
* AXIS – This revolutionary new web-based service integrates with Chyron’s popular broadcast products and expands its reach to include non-broadcast clients such as newspapers, radio stations, mobile phone and digital media producers and anyone producing content for the Internet. Providing a one-stop seamless platform to create, composite and distribute graphic content over the Internet for traditional and new media markets, Chyron Online enables the production and management of high-quality graphics integrated with content simply through the use of an Internet connection and a Web browser. With Axis, Chyron Online comprises a vast feature set for news, maps, quotes, charts and weather and is also platform independent.

* MICROCLYPS - sets a new price/performance paradigm for graphics clip server technology. Virtually instantaneous clip recall and playout as well as VDCP and PBusII interfaces makes MicroClyps a perfect match for demanding live applications.

* CHANNEL BOX V2.0 - now features the most advanced data binding technology available in channel branding. These advanced features coupled with Channel Box’s self-adjusting ‘Content Awareness’ feature make automated promo generation simple and efficient. Version 2.0 now supports multiple animating spacers for crawls as well as dynamically updateable images and movie files. New options include offline creation software, remote monitor and control software as well as a highly robust asset management package.

ALSO ON DISPLAY:
* LYRIC PRO 7.0 (WITH HYPERX²) - the most powerful solution with commanding new feature sets, which will continue to transform graphics creation, playout and workflow. Direct support of Adobe’s XMP metadata and Autodesk’s FBX interchange formats (both industry-firsts), along with the influential graphics API, LEIF, make Lyric PRO 7 the must-have, online and offline graphics solution.

* CAMIO 3.0 – Chyron has expanded its newsroom solution offering by integrating with AXIS and allowing users to create customised graphics such as maps, stock quotes and OTS’s through real-time data, as well as via access to image libraries. CAMIO 3.0 also introduces a new Newsroom ActiveX (LUCI) with flexible global and individual settings and an enhanced user experience, and CSU (CAMIO Still Uploader), allowing operators to create composited graphics by simply depositing images files into specific “hot sync” folders. Chyron’s flexible file-based OMS (Order Management System) and iSQ2.0 multiple channel controller will also be shown as part of the CAMIO demonstration.

* CHYTV- Chyron’s digital signage offering (also being shown in the Digital Signage Zone).
