Cintel will be showing for the first time at NAB the "X-Speed" Digital servo system for the Millennium family of film scanners. This in-field upgrade consists of hardware and software to provide vertical and horizontal stability that exceeds that of any other constant motion film transport. The X-Speed system will be standard on all new MillenniumHD and dataMill machines in 2008. The X-Speed System will also allow a new faster Pin Registration speed. X-Speed is available as an upgrade to Millennium, MillenniumII, MillenniumHD and dataMill machines.
A number of new features for the diTTo will be unveiled at NAB. diTTo, the fastest pin registration scanner available, will have the ability to simultaneously provide either SD or HD output to coincide with the 2K or 4K scans. This new feature will allow "video" output for offline editing, for example, at the same time as the master 2K or 4K scans. New announcements on 4K plus capability and superfast shuttle speeds will also be made.
Cintel will also be showing new imageMill GRACE and STEADY enhancements. imageMill GRACE now includes an upgrade to GRACE_SR which gives real time recursive correction in addition to spatial correction in only a single frame of delay. This
extremely powerful Noise and Grain reducer has very simple-to-use controls making it suitable for all applications in SD HD and Data. imageMill STEADY - the only real time image stabiliser with full post production quality - now has extended range in HD. STEADY also works on SD and Data resolutions with full 444 capability. Cintel will have both GRACE and STEADY on display at NAB.
In addition Cintel will have a MillenniumHD/dataMill machine on the stand at NAB. Millennium HD and dataMill are the only film scanners capable of real time SD and HD, fast (15fps) 2k and 4K data with film guages 8/S8/MAX8mm, 16/S16mm, 35/S35mm, 65/70mm.
