New for DNF Controls at the 2008 NAB Show:
Universal Switch Panel – 8 and 16 Switch Versions
At the 2008 NAB Show, DNF Controls will debut its new Universal Switch Panel (USP), a panel of multipurpose pushbutton switches with an easy-to-use interface designed to meet the wide range of pushbutton control needs for broadcast, production, A/V, and industrial environments. On the face of each pushbutton switch is an LCD display with backlight. The USP is available in a 1-RU rackmount housing with eight or 16 front panel switches. The USP is easily configured using an off-the-shelf Web browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, or other commonly available browsers.
Universal Automation Backup System
The Universal Automation Backup System (UABS) provides peace of mind at an affordable price, backing up primary and secondary on-air automation systems. The UABS reads playlist files from most major automation system manufacturers as well as most major traffic list files. It supports manual and time-triggered events, and provides an as-run log. The UABS offers a simple, easy-to-use solution that provides reliable and repeatable on-air control.
GTP-32BP Breakout Panel
DNF Controls will also introduce its new GTP-32BP breakout panel for its GTP-32 GPI Tally Processor. The breakout panel provides fast and simple connections to the GTP-32's inputs and outputs, and is fully compatible with older GTP-32 versions. The breakout panel provides jumper-selectable WET or DRY GPI Inputs. Its recessed housing design allows cable access from within the rack. A front panel tie rod is provided for cable strain relief.
SW2X1-GPI A/B GPI Switch
Now users can easily switch both GPIs and RS422 signals using the industry-standard model SW2X1 electronic A/B switch. The SW2X1-GPI card has opto-isolated GPI inputs and relay contact closure outputs for complete isolation between individual inputs and outputs.
Users can easily switch between WET or DRY jumper selections for the GPI inputs —, choose "DRY" for input isolation, or "WET" to use the internal power supply and provide only an external switch to "Common." GPI and RS422 cards can be mixed in the same SW2X1 housing. In the event of a power failure, the "A" inputs are automatically switched to the output, providing a "default" position to maintain complete control of default devices.
