At NAB 2008 Signiant will be previewing version 8 of its Digital Media Distribution Management Suite (DMDMS), which is used to manage the movement of digital media to the right place at the right time. Signiant’s DMDMS optimizes the digital media supply chain of Telco, Media and Entertainment companies.

New functions of DMDMS version 8 include: the Workflow Modeling Engine (WME), enabling complex workflows involving many media applications to be built using an intuitive drag and drop toolbox and canvas; the Universal Transport Adapter (UTA), allowing alternative transport protocols to be aggregated into a single management console and workflow; and the Universal Services Adapter (USA) which enables legacy non-Web Services products and systems to be integrated into a Web Services infrastructure.

Signiant will also be showing enhancements to the Signiant Network Acceleration Protocol which provides faster file transfers while utilizing less computing power, and additional features for Media Exchange to efficiently manage the upload and download of web environments including user generated content, electronic news gathering and social networking applications.
