Sabre Series HD/SD 2x3 Distribution Amp To Be Introduced by Sigma Electronics at NAB '08

East Petersburg, Pa., Monday, March 3, 2008 – Sigma Electronics, Inc., today introduced the Sabre Series 2 x 3 high definition/standard definition distribution amplifier, designed for virtually any professional video use. Available in both standard and reclocking versions, the new DA is the newest member of the Sigma Sabre Modular Signal Management System.

The product will be formally introduced at the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas, April 14-17. Sigma will be exhibiting in Central Hall, Booth C8032.

The Sabre system is a highly flexible equipment package for simultaneously housing and operating a wide variety of signal processing equipment. Unique among frames, Sabre frames are designed to handle distribution, generation, conversion and routing modules side-by-side in complete harmony. Available modules include: analog audio and video distribution, digital audio and video distribution, HD/SD video distribution, AES audio distribution, black signal generation, color bar generation, transcoding and audio and video routing.

The new 2 x 3 DA provides multiple configurations based on a 2-in x 3 out configuration including HD/SD/SDI; SD/DA; and reclocked SD/DA. It occupies a single slot in a Sigma Sabre Series frame.
