Equator Technologies Boosts North American Sales Efforts–Equator Signs Multiple Agreements with Manufacturing Representative Firms– CAMPBELL, Calif. -August 20, 2001 – Equator Technologies Inc., the leading provider of comprehensive, broadband digital communications and media processing engines and systems, announced today that it has signed agreements with several manufacturing representative firms to sell its award-winning solutions in North America. The firms will provide Equator with nearly 150 sales representatives who will offer additional inside and outside sales support. With these agreements in place, Equator completes its sales channel in North America and creates the infrastructure to aggressively pursue several digital media communication markets including, head-end, set-top boxes, video conferencing, video security and imaging. The bolstered sales force will sell Equator’s broadband communications solutions including the award-winning MAP-CA™ Broadband Signal Processor™ (BSP™) chip, StingRay™ and Dolphin reference boards, iMMediaTools™ Software Development Toolkit 5.3, and application source code. The sales representative organizations in the U.S. are: Nexus, Technical Marketing Group, Technical Marketing, Inc, Genesis Associates, Quest Rep, NalTron Corporation, ComRep, Inc., Thorson Pacific, Inc., ElectraSales, Front Range Marketing and Westar Rep Company. Kaytronics will provide sales support in Canada. The additional sales representatives establish Equator’s presence in every major U.S. region, bringing the company closer to its current and prospective customers. These sales representatives will work with distributor, All American Semiconductor (NASDAQ: SEMI), to target OEM customers and electronic manufacturing service (EMS) providers that manufacture a wide range of video delivery systems. “We have created tremendous momentum in the last year, acquiring more than 120 customers and achieving revenue growth quarter after quarter,” said Rich Christopher, senior vice-president of worldwide sales and marketing. “In an effort to continue that momentum, we have selected to work with several leading sales rep organizations with extensive sales and marketing expertise.
