Naga Koteswari Sucharita “Suchi” Cheedella, MD

Associate Director, SCRI at Mary Crowley

Dr. Cheedella serves as Associate Director, SCRI at Mary Crowley where she helps lead the evaluation of novel cancer therapies and supports access to early-phase clinical trials for patients in North Texas.

Dr. Cheedella is triple board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Her clinical and research interests include early drug development, gastrointestinal oncology, targeted therapies, immunotherapy, antibody-drug conjugates, and RAS inhibitors. She has served as a principal investigator and sub-investigator on early-phase clinical trials and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and presentations across oncology.

Before joining SCRI at Mary Crowley, Dr. Cheedella served at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock as an associate professor, director of the Early Drug Development Program, and co-director of the Gastrointestinal Oncology Program. Her prior roles include Phase 1 clinical investigator at NEXT Oncology Dallas and faculty appointments at UT Health San Antonio, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Cheedella completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology and a residency in internal medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she served as chief fellow. She earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India.
