Krish Patel, MD

Executive Director, Hematologic Cancer Research; Director, Lymphoma Research

Krish Patel, MD, joined SCRI in 2024 and serves as executive director of Hematologic Cancer Research. In this role, Dr. Patel provides scientific leadership for SCRI’s hematologic cancer research portfolio, further strengthening SCRI’s expertise in blood cancers, cellular therapy, and related malignancies.

Previously, Dr. Patel served as director of Lymphoma Research at SCRI, where he brought deep expertise in hematologic malignancies and a proven track record of advancing clinical trials. In his expanded leadership role, Dr. Patel continues to serve as director of Lymphoma Research, playing a key role in shaping and expanding SCRI’s research strategy, and helping drive innovation and collaboration across the network.

Prior to joining SCRI, Dr. Patel was at Swedish Cancer Institute at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, where he served as director of Hematologic Malignancies and Cell Therapy, as well as director of the Lymphoma Program. He earned his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Duke University, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in hematology and oncology. Dr. Patel further advanced his research training through a clinical research training fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Patel is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, and actively contributes to several national committees and boards, including the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, the Lymphoma Research Foundation, and American Society of Clinical Oncology.

In addition to his leadership roles at SCRI, Dr. Patel serves as a medical oncologist at SCRI Oncology Partners.
